June 2007
We had a Pizza Party and Networking/Socializing event for our
June 2007 meeting. There were about 30 to 35 people there and we signed up
three new members.

The Vintage Players were our guest performers for the April
2007 JFC meeting. This marks the second time we have had the Vintage
Players as our guests and a great time was had by all.

Dr. Linnda Durre' (www.linndadurre.com)
was our March 2007 program speaker. Linnda spoke to us about "Having What
It Takes To Make It In Hollywood". The meeting was well attended with
almost 40 in attendance and all found the program informative and entertaining.

Past State FMPTA President Scott duPont along with local filmmakers Chris
Wiggins and Chad Hendrix were our February guest speakers. Their topic was
"Your Film: By Any Means Necessary". They spoke to us about how they got
their feature films produced.

Our January 2007 guest speakers were Rita Manyette and Amanda Davidson of
Martini Shot Casting (www.martinishotcasting.com).
They spoke to us about the importance and how to "Impress Your Client".
The information they provided doesn't just apply to auditioning, but to everyday
business in and out of the film industry.

In addition to being two originating members of our chapter, Rita
and Amanda are co-owners of "Martini Shot Casting". Rita is also an actor
and acting coach and Amanda has a marketing and communications company, Wax
Creative Services www.waxcreative.net.
