The Jacksonville First Coast Chapter
Proudly Presents:

EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT SHORT FILM GENRES AND MORE…OR LESS.

With Writer's Guild of America Member - Sharon Y. Cobb

So you know the basics of screenwriting…the 3-act structure, character development, conflict, theme…all that crafty stuff. But you’re a little fuzzy when it comes to knowing a thriller from a horror film or a romantic comedy from a love story. Well, come on down to March’s FMPTA meeting and Sharon Y. Cobb will spill her guts about genre. Everything she’s learned about genre in 20 years of writing films, she’ll boggle your brain with in this 60+-minute rant. Whether you’re gearing up for this year’s 48 Hour Film Project or thinking of writing the Great American short film, you need to know elements of genre.

Don’t miss: Jacksonville First Coast Chapter of the Florida Motion Picture & Television Association (FMPTA) meeting, Tuesday, March 10, 2009, 6:30 p.m., Jacksonville University, 2800 University Blvd North, Phillips Fine Arts Building, Auditorium. For more information, please email: info@fmptajax.org.
